Dust Devil is another daughter of Myriah's Windy, and like all of Windy's previous daughters, she's just so correct in her general appearance and mammary structure. She went out to her very first show in 2023 and was 1st place dry yearling in both rings, going on to be the Reserve Junior Champion in one, and the Junior Grand Champion and Best Junior Doe in Show in the other! Then, at the 2023 ADGA National Show, she was 6th place in the very large and competitive senior yearling class.

As a 2 year old first freshener, Dusty went along to every show and hit the ring 9 times, where she was 1st or 2nd every single time, and was even selected as the Reserve Senior Champion once. In her first linear appraisal session, she was only a month fresh, but still managed to get a score of 87 VVVV! As far as milk production for her first lactation, well, she out-milked everybody, including all of her older herdmates! This is a doe who definitely excels in all areas, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what she can do with a 2nd freshening under her belt.

With that 2nd freshening, Dusty came out very, very strong this year! She hit the ring 9 times again this year, where she was the 1st place 3 year old in 8 of the rings, and 2nd place only once. She also picked up 3 Reserve Senior Champion and 2 Senior Grand Champion wins in the local shows, and then finished her show year out by going Senior Grand Champion at the 2025 CA State Fair! Unfortunately we won't be abe to participate in linear appraisal this year, so she won't be getting an updated score there. However, in the milk parlor, Dusty is still absolutely rocking it, with 2,000 lbs already produced in just 133 days this year, and a current projection of 3,302 lbs. She continues to blow all my expectations out of the water, and I again look forward to how she'll look next year, when she'll also hopefully get the opportunity for an updated appraisal score.
